Day One Atlanta

The flight arrives about 1/2 hr early at about 7am just as the sun was coming up. Didn't sleep at all what's new.
We got off the aircraft and then went up and down stairways and escalators to be met by a man directing us onto a train. We Em has a dislike of trains at the moment and what with being tired it was going to be too much so we walked and walked and walked and walked some more then up a London underground style escalator and finally to the baggage claim.
Rather than rush off we decided on a little refreshment and ended up just having an orange juice each.
Today being Sept 11th the was a ceremony going on.
We then made our way by "Train" to the car hire which is located just off the airport. This was easy enough until we handed over our paperwork. There we some errors like size of car and number of doors etc.
They have a strange set up where by you do all the paper work then go off to the multi storey car park and are then told to pick a car from the size that you ordered. We took the biggest we could which was a Chevrolet Malibu. The luggage only just fits.

Now the big challenge especially after LA getting the navigation to work properly. Still needs work as driving on the other side hasn't sunken in yet.

Any way we get to our hotel in Douglasville which proved to quite good despite being next to a freeway it was quite quiet.

We got into our room and then had a nap of about 4 hrs and then had to force our selves up to get out and have dinner via the supermarket.
